The July 2017 Bar Exam: Repeat Takers Statistics For California and Why You Need Bar Professors

California’s bar exam results have been released.  Overall, the first time taker rate was 62%, but the repeat pass rate was a very low 28%.  38% of bar applicants were repeat takers – an increase of 5% from July 2016.

No matter which category your school fell under, the repeat pass rate was appalling.  For California ABA schools, the repeat rate was:  37%; For Out of State ABA schools, the repeat rate was 28%, For CA Accredited, not ABA, the repeat rate was 19%.  For Unaccredited, fixed facility schools the  repeat rate: 14%; for Unaccredited, correspondence schools the  repeat rate was 22%, for Unaccredited distance learning schools, the repeat rate was 17%
