On
Friday, California’s bar exam results were released and the pass rate sank to
just 28%. An all time low. Last year, the pass result was just 31% and we all
thought that was the lowest it could go.
Unfortunately, it went lower.
Surprising,
only 28% of those applicants sitting for the bar exam were first-time takers,
which means that 72% of those applicants were repeat takers.
The
passing rate for first-time applicants was 38% overall, a 3% drop from last
year. The passing rate for repeat applicants was 22% overall, a 6% drop from
last year.
The
repeat failure rate was shockingly high. These failure rates say you need to
get a Bar Professors’ California bar exam tutor. Don’t do the same thing you did
last time. You need to pass the bar exam and get the California bar exam behind
you.
