The Texas February Statistics Show that Repeat Takers Need Bar Professors’ Help on the Texas UBE for July 2021

Texas has released its February bar exam statistics and pass rate. This was the first time that Texas administered the UBE and it showed in its statistics.

The overall pass rate in February was 61% with first time takers passing at 71% with the repeat taker pass rate at only 47%. 

Texas Southern continues to underperform – its pass rate for first time takers was only 56% and its repeater pass rate was only 39%.  The foreign educated results are even worse - a 34% pass rate for first time takes and only 19% for repeat takers.

The February 2021 MBE Scores Are Still Too Low; Bar Professors Can Help

February 2021’s MBE mean score was again very low on the February bar exam. The mean score has dropped since 2014. In states like Florida, where the pass rate for the MBE is 136, this indicates that bar exam takers will have trouble passing the bar exam.
