The July 2013 Bar Exam: The MBE Exam
Please look at our essay writing, MBE programs and Bar Exam Tutors at www.barprofessors.com.
I have talked with many students this bar exam cycle about their MBE scores. Many students I talked with failed the MBE while passing the state portion of their bar exam. The MBE is always difficult because you have to get the right answer or you get no points. Across the board, whether you are from Harvard or from a third tier score, contracts and property are one and two for the hardest subjects of the six – and where most students have the most difficult. Torts is ranked as the easiest subject in terms of how many questions students get right nationally. This bar cycle, evidence seemed to the hardest subject.
For those who failed the MBE exam, evaluate your scores carefully. I have many students tell me that they were close to passing because of their scaled scores. But, remember, scaled scores are not always accurate in assessing your actual scores. This bar cycle, the scaled scores were roughly 18 to 20 points. This is probably one of the highest scaled scores we have seen in many years. Usually, the scaled scores are about 15 points. That means the NCBE added 18 to 20 points to your raw score this bar cycle. In February 2014, they could add only 15 points or another number. We can’t be sure how many points they will increase your raw score.
Look at your raw score. That raw score is your accurate assessment. Find the percentage that you got right and you will see how much more you need to get a passing score. For example if you got a 100 on your raw score, you are sitting at a 50% rate on your MBE. That is way too low to successfully pass the bar exam. To be sure that you will pass the MBE, you need to be testing around 65% when you go into the February 2014 bar exam.
Also ask yourself if your scores were low in every subject or did you do well in some subjects and not well in others? This evaluation will determine how you should study of the February 2014 bar exam. If you have across the board weakness, then you have problems with the analytical portion of the test – you are not understanding the strategy of elimination. If you scores reflect an up and down weakness per subject matter, then you need to concentrate on those weak subject while not forgetting to work on your stronger subjects.
As the February 2014 bar comes closer, we will discuss strategies and tactics for the MBE.

The July 2013 Bar Exam: Why Repeat Bar Takers Don’t Pass…The Myths and Reality of Passing
Please look at our essay writing, MBE programs and Florida Bar Exam Tutors at www.barprofessors.com.
Most law graduates are under the false impression that the more times you take a state bar exam the greater your changes are to passing.
In fact, it is just the opposite. The more times you sit for a state bar, you increase your chances of being unsuccessful.
The statistical proof is clear and convincing that repeat takers continuously do poorer on the bar exam than first time takers. Here are the hard facts:
Indiana’s overall pass rate for July 2013 was 75%. The pass rate for 1st time takers was 82% and the pass rate for repeat takers was 27%.
Iowa’s pass rate for July 2013 was 92%. For 1st time takers, the pass rate was 95%. For 2nd time takers, the pass rate was 70%. For 3rd time takers, the pass rate was 57%. For the 4th time takers, the pass rate was 0%. For the 5th time taker, the pass rate was 0%.
Delaware’s overall pass rate for July 2013 was 71.7%. The first time applicant pass rate was 77.8%. The repeat applicant pass rate was 48.9%.
Oregon’s overall pass rate for July 2013 was 75%. The first time taker pass rate was 81% and the repeat bar exam taker rate was 36%.
North Carolina published its statistics of the July 2013 bar exam. The overall pass rate was 63.35%. Applicants who took the bar exam for the first time passed at 71%. Applicants who took the bar exam as repeat takers passed at 23.3%.
These statistical repeat taker numbers are a clear representation that repeat takers, on an average, only pass the bar exam at about a 33% rate. Obtaining a Bar Professors’ bar exam tutor should be the number one goal for all repeat takers.

The Florida Bar Exam Results for July 2013: Repeat Florida Bar Exam Takers: What Does Your Score Really Mean
Please look at our essay writing, MBE programs and Florida Bar Exam Tutors at www.barprofessors.com.
As you know, taking the Florida bar exam will be a challenging experience for all repeat bar exam takers. However, you must review and understand the breakdown of your scores. There are some important indicators as it relates to your July 2013 bar exam scores.
Let’s first start with the MBE. If you made below a raw 125, that’s a clear indication that you lack the requisite knowledge of the subject matter, that you do not understand the methodology of the MBE and that you are not reading critically to obtain the proper factual analysis. You will not be able to score any higher on the MBE on your next bar exam if you do not get help. In light of this, you should retain a Bar Professors Florida bar tutor. Bar Professors will help you understand the methodology and the critical analysis of the MBE.
Next, is the Florida essays. Students score low on the Florida essays because they do not read and analyze each essay using the line by line approach. If you score below a 65 on each essay, you are not raising all discussable issues and, therefore, leaving much needed points on the table. Another common problem on the Florida essays, is an applicant’s failure to analyze each and every issue he does raise. Again, you should retain a Bar Professors Florida bar tutor. Bar Professors will teach you how to approach the essays to receive the maximum points on each essay.

The Florida Bar Exam Results for July 2013: Repeat Florida Bar Exam Takers: Repeat Florida Bar Exam Takers: A Structured Plan for Success
Please look at our essay writing, MBE programs and Florida Bar Exam Tutors at www.barprofessors.com.
Florida repeat bar exam takers should be very concerned with their ability to pass the Florida Bar Exam for a second, third or multiple times.
As we have shown through our blog, the repeat bar exam taker numbers are substantially lower than first time takers. Absent a very structured study bar exam plan, many of the repeat bar exam takers will repeatedly fail the bar until they just give up on their dream of becoming a lawyer. As a law professor, I know too many students in this heart-breaking category. They are devastated with their failure beyond comprehension. They are literally paralyzed with indecision, depression and uncertainty about their career and, more importantly, they question their own ability to pass the bar.
My advice is to start with a very intensive structured plan. Obtain a Bar Professors Florida bar exam tutor and, more importantly, believe you will pass. Above all else, do not prepare for the exam as you did the first time. You have to change your approach with a structured plan for success.

They are literally paralyzed with indecision, depression and uncertainty about their career and, more importantly, they question their own ability to pass the bar.
